  • Depending on taste preference, you can use less (or more) than 1/3 cup of sugar - start out with 1/2 the amount and add more accordingly.
  • Place all ingredients in bowl; mix well, place in vinegarette-style container (with lid) and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
  • Tastes best after a day or so in the fridge.

  1. I concur. This is some Dang good salad dressing! The only thing I did different was use fresh onion and add a little garlic. It's very delicate yet bold (it's an enigma ) and a little goes a long way.

  2. We loved this dressing! It is the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. Very different from any red dressing I've had before. Definitely a keeper!

  3. So good! I added some garlic while blending as well, and even a bit of water to thin it down and make it last. Great if you love thick dressing. This is a keeper, thanks.

  4. This is so good, very colorful, and wonderfully thick. I used about 1/4 cup of sugar. I used red onion and added 1 clove of garlic. Whipped it in the blender. My ranch only please DD said this was awsome. Will make again.

  5. Not only was the taste good but I was impressed with the thickness of the dressing. I was expecting it to be a real thin dressing but this was nice and thick. I put everything in the food processor and processed it for about 20 seconds. I used closer to 1/4 C. sugar. It is a beautiful color of red.

Tweaks

  1. This was good. Don't know if it was the best ever but it does merit making it again. I used chopped garlic instead of minced onion. Suited my taste just fine. Thanks macauley4x
