Version using tequila instead of rum, but if you are a colada purist, feel free to use your favorite rum instead.
- 1 1⁄2 ounces tequila
- 3 tablespoons well-blended coconut cream
- 1 ounce orange liqueur
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- toasted coconut (to garnish) (optional)
- In a shaker half-full of ice, combine tequila, coconut cream, liqueur, and juices.
- Shake well and strain into glass.
- Sprinkle coconut on top.
