Strawberry-Orange-Banana Frappe

"A lovely refreshing summer drink that can be made all year with frozen berries as well. I first had this at a local cafe and liked it so much I figured out how to make it myself."

  2. i got so excited to be using a new blender i got i totally skipped the water it turned out soooo much better was the perfect consistency and i was just making it because i wanted a smoothie so i had not got the time to freeze the fruit so i used 5-10 ice cubes worked the same way. Thanks for one of the best smoothie recipes i have ever used!!!

  3. Loved this! I cut it down to one serving (which was giant sized). I took Janie Cooper's suggestion and used light vanilla yogurt instead of the water. It still didn't have the consistency I wanted so I threw in two ice cubes and--voila! Perfect! Thanks so much.

  4. This is delicious and so easy to do! I used 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 medium banana and 1 cup orange juice, eliminating the water altogether. It made a wonderfully luscious smoothie which I am sure I will indulge in often : ) Thanks so much Jenny for sharing this recipe!

  5. I used frozen banana (which is also a very good way to use up some extra bananas). My DH and a very picky DS loved the drink.

  2. I have used this recipe for a long time, with one change - I use fat free vanilla yogurt in place of the water. I also prefer to use frozen bananas. This make the drink cold enough to skip the ice cubes. I just cut overripe bananas into about 4 chunks each and freeze. It's a great way to use up bananas. I also blend all the ingredients at once.

I love to garden, both perennials and vegetables. I am always looking for recipes to fiddle with, especially good simple vegetable dishes. I try to use organic ingredients as much as possible.
