After reading the two (very different) reviews on this, I decided to give it a try. I definitely have to go with Sarah_ Jayne on this one. I tend to gravitate towards really salty stuff anyhow (DH picks on me because I love super-salty and super-sweet), so I wasn't worried about the saltiness putting me off. I was pretty surprised by just how much of the soy sauce flavor the carrot soaks up. If you aren't a big fan of strong soy sauce flavor, don't bother with this. It defintely made me want sushi, too -- this would be a perfect complement to a nice rainbow maki roll or some caterpillar maki! Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT4

  1. Cut carrot piece in half lengthwise. Score the round part by making lots of shallow cuts.
  2. Place carrot in shallow dish with soy sauce and let sit for 30 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  3. Cut carrot into chunks before serving.
