- 1 1⁄2 cups stale bread cubes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 2 cups thinly sliced fruit (peaches, apples, or whole berries)
- Brown bread in butter.
- Add honey and fruit.
- Cover and cook until fruit is tender, about 8 minutes.
- Serve hot or cold with heavy cream.
- Serves 4.
