This is a very simple 2 ingredient recipe. I made this by accident one day. But now I make it for my brother, sister, and me as afterschool snacks. I can promise you'll love 'em. ENJOY

  1. Place the pieces of salami on the plate.
  2. Next rip the slices of cheese in half and put each half in the middle of each piece of salami.
  3. Now put one plate in the microwave for about 45 seconds.
  4. When you take them out the cheese will be melted and the salami will be the bowl.
  5. Thus being Salami Bowls.
  6. ENJOY!

I just made this. I only made 4 cups and used havarti because that's what I have on hand. I only had to microwave for 40 seconds. Every microwave is different and I'm sure the number of cups you do at one time impacts cook time. I was expecting the salami to cup up like a bowl. Mine had a sort of cupped middle reminding me more of a delicious little saucer. Salami saucers!!! what's not to like? Thanks.

Very yummy, and so easy! I made a small batch, just 3 slices of Oscar Meyer salami, and one slice of pepper jack cheese, divided up evenly over the 3 slices of salami. It only needed about 40 seconds for the reduced amount. I love how this works, with the salami making bowls! I got a kick out of watching it in the microwave. Quite greasy, but you can blot it with paper towels, and that helps.

I made these with small diameter hard salami and a small chunk of cheddar. My hubby thought they were cute and tasty. They made a easy snack for him with crackers and mustard. Thank you for sharing your recipe! *reviewed for PAC Fall '07*
