- 354.88 ml margarine
- 473.18 ml brown sugar (white sugar works, too!)
- 2 eggs
- 118.29 ml molasses
- 946.36 ml flour
- 9.85 ml baking soda
- 9.85 ml cinnamon
- 9.85 ml ginger
- 9.85 ml cloves
directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix sugar and all wet ingredients in one bowl, and all other dry ingredients in another (so that spices, soda, flour are well blended); then combine the two.
- If desired, refrigerate dough for a couple of hours or overnight, to allow for easier handling, but this is not necessary.
- Roll into 1" balls, dip in sugar (optional!), and bake for 8-10 minutes.
