This is another favorite from Momma Hawman's 1979 cookbook.
- 1 (3 ounce) box cherry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1⁄4 cup red cinnamon candies
- 1 (23 ounce) can applesauce
- On top of stove stir red hots into boiling water until dissolved. Add jello. Remove from heat and add applesauce; stir well. Pour into 8-inch square dish and chill until set.
