All natural recipe for pesto
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaf
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 tablespoon pine nuts (Pignola)
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon grated pecorino romano cheese
- Combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, oil, and salt in a food processor or blender.
- Process until smooth.
- Stir in the Parmesan and Romano cheeses.
- This can be made ahead frozen.
