This is absolutely the best brittle recipe I have ever used--I did stuff a bit different as I was doubling and needed a bit without nuts for someone so I put my mixture of peanuts and toasted almonds on pan and poured brittle mixture over them- WOW--this brittle was so nice!! It will be hard to stay away from it so I have enough for my Christmas food gift boxes!!Thanks very much!!

  1. Sauce pan: on low heat cook water, sugar and syrup until spins threads when spoon is lifted.
  2. Add peanuts, cook until brown, add baking soda.
  3. Pour into greased cookie sheet let harden at room temperature.
