- 177.44 ml pawpaw, pureed
- 236.59 ml all-purpose flour
- 2.46 ml baking powder
- 59.14 ml butter
- 118.29 ml brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 118.29 ml black walnut
directions
- Cream the shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add beaten egg and pawpaw.
- Stir in the dry ingredients, which have been sifted together, and mix well.
- Form into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Press into round flat shape with the bottom of a glass that has been lightly greased.
- Bake at 350 degrees about 10-15 minutes.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I made this exactly as indicated. Number one you definitely cannot roll this into balls... number two when I did bake as it was they were like discs of rubbery bread. I am really aggravated at the waste of ingredients. The first photo is the cookie AFTER it was cooked, then I rolled into a ball. Probably good for carp or catfish bait only.
