Payday is far away and I need to use up whats left in the pantry. I didn't measure anything so the measurements are a guess but this turned out to be a fantastic chicken salad in a pita! Who doesn't love easy and cheap!Oh, and dates are always in my pantry since they are great on salad and the kids love them!
- 1 (10 ounce) can98% fat free canned chicken, packed in water
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1⁄4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1⁄8 teaspoon seasoning salt (Lawrys)
- 7 dates
- chop the dates to small pieces.
- toss with the canned, drained chicken, two spoonfuls of mayo, 2 hearty shakes of seasoning salt and a good heavy pinch of celery seed.
