This "smoothie" type drink also has a banana in it. If your kids like o.j., they'll like this. From Sue Gregg's cookbook, Lunches & Snacks. I don't usually fill the blender with ice cubes, just a couple of handfuls or so.
- 1 (6 ounce) canfrozen unsweetened orange juice concentrate
- 3⁄4 cup low-fat milk
- 1⁄4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 banana
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
- ice cube, to fill blender
- Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high until ice cubes are completely crushed.
Your recipe mades for a great tasting smoothie! I used a LARGE, frozen banana (no ice cubes) & had a very nice breakfast (& mid-morning) drink! Thanks for sharing! [Tagged, made & reviewed in New Zaar Stars tag game]
great! I do not normally add in dry milk powder to drinks like this but it seemed to work fine, this was frothy and rich and oh so good, thanks for sharing Cheesey!
I did half of it. I used around 4-6 ice cubes. It's a good start before breakfast when it's not ready like it was this morning :) Thanks Wi Cheesehead :) Made for Zaar Star Game
