  • Preheat oven to 350°F Brown ground beef and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and mushrooms and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix the ricotta, egg, 1/2 cup mozzarella and Italian seasoning. Beat well with fork.
  • Grease a 8x8-inch glass dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread beef mixture.
  • Spread the ricotta mix. Lay half of the pepperoni on top of the ricotta mix. Put the remaining mozzarella over the pepperoni and then lay the remaining pepperoni on top of the cheese.
  • Bake until bubbly (about 20 minutes).

  1. I changed this just a little bit. I used a 9X13 glass pan. 2 1/2 lbs. of ground turkey with spices. I layered it as such:hamburg,mushroom and sauce mixture. Then a layer of parmesan cheese slices. A layer of ricotta cheese. A layer of pepperoni. And so forth until all meat sauce was gone. Topped it off with shredded parmesan cheese. Was excellent!! And very tasty!!
     
  2. Wonderful!!! We left out the pepperoni, added a little oregano & maybe a little more ricotta, and everyone loved it, even my carb-loving husband!!

<p>I became a vegetarian (again) in October 2008. I like to experiment and tend to use recipes as a suggestion. I like all types of flavors but cook mostly Mexican and Italian dishes. <br /> <br />I store my recipes in a notebook with sheet protectors for a few.
