-
1 nice smelling hand
ingredients
- cold running tap water (the colder the better but don't freeze yourself)
- fresh lemon (you do NOT need this, the lemon is optional but a stainless steel knife is 100% necessary!!!! MUST b)
directions
- Wash hands after handling onions.
- Under cold running water, rub the side of your knife along and between your fingers and over the rest of hands. If you are using a sharp knife - BE CAREFUL! I run the knife along with the blunt side leading and have never been cut!

The stainless steel trick really works, but I use my stainless "soap" bar. For difficult odors, such as strong garlic, add lemon or vinegar. The knife sounds a little risky for me, since I tend to cut myself often!! The cold water works better than hot...something I hadn't tried before. Thanks for sharing!

I love great food and I particularly like trying cuisines new to me! Although I don't prepare as much food as I used to, creating in my kitchen is still one of my favourite things to do. Enjoy!
