From an article called "On The Beach" on pg 37 of the March April 2011 issue of Frontier Airlines magazine "Wild Blue Yonder"
- 42.52 g don julio tequila
- 21.26 g lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 28.34 g triple sec orange liqueur
- 236.59 ml ice
- Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker, serve in a salt-rimmed glass over ice.
Even for a margarita, this was just a bit too tart for our tastebuds. I added about 1/2 ounce of Rose's Sweetned Lime Juice to mine, and it was a little better. So next time, I think I'll add a little simple syrup (or maybe even just stick to the sweetened lime juice). But otherwise, this is a great basic margarita recipe.
