These are best when served cold. Cooking time is chilling time. You can remove the toothpicks or replace them with pretzel sticks when serving them to children.
Ingredients:
8 slices baked ham or 8 slices
boiled
ham
1 medium
cantaloupe
pretzel sticks or
toothpick
Directions:
1
Cut ham into 1" wide strips, and cut the cantaloupe into cubes.
2
Wrap a strip of ham around each cube and secure with a toothpick.
3
Chill and serve.
Ratings & Reviews:
This is genius! Making a dozen or so different appetizers for a pool party tomorrow, so I was looking for quick and easy and this was perfect. So simple, tasty and healthy. I used deli thin sliced ham and used two strips of ham per cantaloupe cube. I also used the pre-cubed cantaloupe. They were a little chunky so I did cut them in half. Made them tonight and can't stop eating them. I hope there's some left for tomorrow. Glad I tripled the recipe!
