ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brandy (optional)
  • 4 almonds, raw, shelled

directions

  • Heat milk in small heavy saucepan (or lare mug in the microwave) until very hot.
  • Stir in honey, brandy, and almonds.
  • Drink while hot.
  • Eat almonds with a spoon.

Update 1/17/10: My puppy needed to go out in the middle of the night and now I am having trouble going back to sleep. This drink really is relaxing. It tastes like a creamy almond tea. The flavor is very mild. Tonight I used Crown Royal. Thanks again for the recipe.
     
  3. I'm not sure if I was just exhausted from not sleeping the previous 2 nights, or if this actually works. But it worked last night! I didn't add the brandy, but this was yummy and I did sleep well last night...so 5 stars from me.
