  • 1 soap bar (Fels-Naptha is good)
  • 3 cups washing soda
  • 3 cups borax

  • Grate soap. Can also slice and food process soap.
  • Mix soap, washing soda, and borax.
  • Use 2 tablespoons per load.

  1. Absolutely great! I had so much fun making the soap! Very economical. Finally found out you can get washing soda at an Ace Hardware Store. I large grated my soap and then put it into a small food processor I have. That got the soap nice and manageable. Thanks so much for the recipe!
