J-Man's Peanut Butter & Banana Spent Grain Dog Biscuits

"Spent grain is a leftover by-product of the brewing process. I get enough requests from friends for my dog biscuits that I often need to brew in order to get more spent grain and I earn enough cash from the biscuits that my beer is free"

directions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, eggs, and banana. Mix together. Add spent grain and mix. Slowly add flours.
  • You want a moist dough that does not stick to your hands.
  • Roll the dough out to about 1/4" thickness. Cut into whatever shapes you want/have with a cookie cutter (you can get dog bone shaped cutters online).
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes then turn heat down to 250 and bake until moisture is cooked out and biscuits are crunchy.
  • Since there are no preservatives, I store my extras in the freezer.

Homebrewer first and foremost. Starting to see what I can do with the spent grains after - breads, pizza dough, dog treats, etc. Love to grill. Love to make pies.
