- 2 cups 2% low-fat milk
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 0.5 (7 5/8 ounce) package instant roasted garlic mashed potatoes
- 4 ounces shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese

- Combine milk and water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat; add potatoes and stir with a wire whisk until combined.
- Add 3/4 cup of cheese and stir well until melted. Spoon evenly into bowls and top with remaining cheese and black pepper.
