directions

 • Preheat oven to Degrees F.
 • To make wonton shells, spray the inside and outside walls of a deep square or rectangle baking pan with nonstick spray. Evenly drape wonton wrappers over the pan's walls on a diagonal, making triangle shapped "shells". [Use two pans, if needed, to prevent overlapping]. Bake for 3-4 minuts, until just crispy enough to hold their shape. Remove pan from the oven and set aside to cool.
 • Combine chicken with BBQ sauce in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
 • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine coleslaw mix, dressing and cilantro. Mix well. Microwave for 45 seconds, until slightly softened. Set aside.
 • Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray. One at a time, carefully remove wonton shells from the pan and fill each with a heaping teaspoon of BBQ chicken and a heaping teaspoon of cilantro slaw. Lay filled wontons gently on their sides on the baking sheet.
 • Spray the upward-facing sides of the wonton shells lightly with nonstick spray [for added crunch] and bake for about 5 minutes, until warm and crunchy. Let cool slightly and serve.

 1. Great recipe for such a wonderful appetizer from Applebee's. Honestly I didn't use the BBQ sauce because that's not the flavor I wanted for the tacos.

 2. Thanks to Pic A chef I picked this recipe to try.

For this recipe I chose to make the meat and rest up in a bowl. For the wontons I toasted them up for a chip to dip into the meat mixture.

Wow this is totally different.

Really nice recipe to try.

Although a stone's throw away from the Golden Dome at Notre Dame, I went to Michigan State and am a true, die hard Spartan. Dubbed by my husband as a "messie chef", I love to cook and try new recipes out on my family. I also have quite a cookbook collection and practically read them like novels. What can I say, I love food and appreciate all kinds. I love to sample regional favorites on various trips. I'm also a mom of 2 wonderful girls...5 and 2 years old. I love the Rachael Ray and OAMC concepts so I'm able to spend more time with my family.
