  • Mix dry ingredients of batter, and add shortening, raisins and milk.
  • Put sauce in 8 inch baking dish.
  • Drop batter onto sauce by tablespoon fulls.
  • Bake 350F 1/2 hour.

  1. This came out more like a cake with sauce than a pudding. (I think I was looking for a custard type result). It was easy but I used SugarTwin brown sugar substitute and I think it would have been better with the real thing. Also used skimmed milk. It's not easy being diabetic. Thank you for the receipe, I'll make it again because it was easy and inexpensive.
