.... because it's bloody tough to find root beer in Ireland!
Make and share this Guinness Float recipe from Food.com.
- 12 fluid ounces Guinness stout
- 6 fluid ounces chocolate ice cream
- Place chocolate ice cream in a British pint (20 fl. oz.) glass.
- Add Guinness VERY VERY SLOWLY, taking care that it doesn't foam over the brim.
- Consume through a straw.
I made it with vanilla ice cream and I thought it was great. Considering that 12 oz of Guinness is only about a hundred calories I have to believe that the nutrition info on this recipe is wrong...
I tried this one with Pralines & Cream rather than chocolate ice cream (necessity is the mother of improvisation) but I'd recommend using an ice cream without little chunks of nut and caramel.
