- 1 (4 lb) chicken, cut up
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Season-All salt
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 4 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup Crisco cooking oil
- Combine seasonings in flour; dredge chicken pieces to coat; fry in hot oil until browned.
- Blend remaining flour with water; pour over chicken; cover and simmer on low 45 minutes until meat is almost falling off bone and gravy is thickened. Make sure to stir gently so gravy doesn't stick.
