Make and share this Graham Cracker Brittle recipe from Food.com.
- Grease a cookie sheet.
- Line it with crackers.
- combine sugar and butter in a saucepan.
- bring sugar/butter to a boil.
- Stir in nuts and cook for 1-1/2 minutes.
- Spread this mixture over crackers.
- bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
- Let cool and break into pieces.
Horrible recipe. I followed this recipe to the letter. When I placed the graham crackers with the brittle mixture poured over it in the oven, the crackers started floating in the mixture and when the 10 minutes were up, it was a mess and the brittle never hardened and became one sticky mess. I have never given a recipe from this site a 1 star before, but this one certainly deserved it.
I haven't made this recipe but, I do make one using saltines. So here are a few of the things I've learned ( trail & error) always do 1 to 1 portions ( 1 cup Brown Sugar to 1 cup butter) . My mom also likes when it's on top & bottom. So I double the amounts. Hope this helps. God bless you & your family. Happy Holidays
