  • Cut carrots in half crosswise, then lengthwise into 2 or 3 sticks.
  • Simmer, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  • Drain.
  • Melt the butter.
  • Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  • Add carrots.
  • Cook over medium-low heat about 10 minutes, turning often.

  1. Quick and easy, but lacking flavor a bit. I find it helps to add some honey or maple syrup to supplement the taste or even a minute amount of cloves. Not bad. Cheers.

  3. Added a tablespoon of cinnamon and squeezed half a lemon while adding the sugar to the frying pan. Turned out fantatic! Very quick and easy to cook and makes a delicious and healthy dessert :)

  1. I used maple butter in this dish for a unique flavor.

  3. I suggest that the use of dark brown sugar and a pinch of salt will bring out the full flavor.
