Adapted from a recipe in Steven Raichlen's "High-Flavor Low-Fat Cooking".
- 1 1⁄2 inches fresh ginger, sliced (about 1.5 tablespoons)
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Combine the fresh ginger, water, honey, and lemon juice in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a mug.
There's nothing like ginger and honey and lemon to make a tea taste so good! I really enjoyed this tea, especially since I have a cold. Warming, and oh so soothing! Made for the Comfort Cafe-Jan. 2010.
