Gerden Meatballs
"I was goofing around in the kitchen one evening and trying to think up a dish with both meat and vegetables in it that would taste really, really good. Eventually I came up with this dish. It's really, REALLY good. Try it with soy sauce!"

30 meatballs
ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup shredded carrot
- 2⁄3 cup shredded broccoli
- 2 slices bread
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed into paste
directions
- Run bread slices through a food processor until turned into crumbs.
- In a seperate bowl, combine carrots, broccoli, garlic, and ground beef.
- Once the beef and vegetables have been combined, add and the breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Place in a cake pan and place in oven preheated to 350 F and cook for 25 minutes.
- Garden meatballs can be served with rice and steamed vegetables, but hey. It's up to you.

I mostly cook because I enjoy it, even if I'm not the one who's going to be eating. Cooking is mostly a hobby of mine. I like to put on a spread and wow the people I'm serving the food to. I'm probably allergic to onions, and I may be slightly allergic to tomatos.
On a personal note, I have four pets. Charlie is a 30-lb, 6-year-old beagle. He's very friendly, though a bit of a wuss. He's quite intelligent and a bit of a ladies' man.
I also have three bettas: Darth Jerry, Shep-Thoreau, and Rambo.
Shep-Thoreau (AKA S.T.) is an interesting fish. He's a little more cautious than Jerry or Rambo. He sometimes shows off, but it's usually only in front of me. I've noticed that he prefers to nap in one specific corner of the tank. No matter how many times I change the gravel, a little indentation always seems to appear in that specific corner. I'm really starting to believe that Shep-Thoreau somehow moves the pieces of gravel around to build his little nap-hole. He also seems to recognize my voice. S.T. is pink with a reddish face, and his fins and tail-end are an irridescent turquoise.
Darth Jerry is also quite a character. He's an energetic fellow, and sometimes quite excitable. He doesn't have the best 'table manners', though. Sometimes when I feed him, he gets so excited that he rushes forward and bumps his nose against the tank. He is quite beautiful, though. His body is dark, dark blue, and his fins are an irridescent bluish-green with a bit of dark blue here and there.
Rambo came along a couple months after I got Jerry and Thoreau. He, like the other two, was bought by my grandmother for herself. Unfortunately, as was the case with the other two, she didn't take care of Rambo and acted as if she viewed him as little more than a decoration. She didn't even give him a name! Fortunately, I took over. I put him in a bigger tank with nice, fresh water and I gave him some special medication to take care of his fin rot. He's doing a lot better now. As for his name? When he first got here, he flared at EVERYTHING, and I said to him, "Wow. Settle down, Rambo!"
And that was how he got his name. He's calmed down some since I took over his care, but he still flares at everyone. Darth Jerry and Shep-Thoreau mostly ignore it, though. Rambo is a little more drab in appearance than my other two bettas. His body is dark red and his fins are a combination of blue and dark red.
Although they may drive me nuts sometimes, I wouldn't trade my boys for the world.
