Oil based mixtures can be used to suffocate mites, scale and other soft-bodies insects. They help to repel leaf miner moths and sometimes even grasshoppers. Avoid using on plants with hairy leaves and during very hot weather. From Gardening Australia.
- 500 ml vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 cup pure liquid dishwashing soap
- Blend the ingredients thoroughly and seal in a clean clearly labelled jar.
- To use, dilute 1 T of the concentrate with 1 litre of water before spraying.
Thanks for this one, Donna! I've tried this on the nasty bed bugs who have been sharing my bed! Arghh!! This makes my revenge easier! the oil does seem to get to them. Thanks for posting!;)
