  1. Beat butter (or margarine) until creamy. Beat in white sugar. Mix in Vanilla, egg yolk, sour cream and flour. Mix well. (This will make a stiff dough, you may have to get your hands in there!).
  2. Chill in freezer for 20 minutes or so, break off pieces and roll on board sprinkled with raw sugar, until pencil thick and 9 inches long. NOTE: I rolled the dough (on a bare counter) into the specified size/shape and then roll the completed shape into the sugar, rather than rolling the sugar into the dough.
  3. Place on greased cookie sheet in pretzel shape.
