A clone recipe for those of us who no longer live on the East Coast.
- 1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
- 1 (14 ounce) bottle light Karo syrup
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1⁄4 lb butter
- Melt all ingredients together on the top of a double boiler.
- Melt and cook for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and beat with a electric mixer for 3 minutes.
- Cool slightly and place in an air tight container.
- Heat when needed.
