Firehouse Barbecue Sauce

• Yields: 3 cups

ingredients

• 3 tablespoons orange marmalade
• 1⁄4 cup olive oil
• 1⁄2 cup dry red wine
• 1 1⁄2 cups ketchup
• 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 4 garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 1⁄4 cup water
• 2 tablespoons red chili powder (or to taste)
• 1 lemon, juice and zest
• 1⁄4 cup parsley, minced

directions

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl; blend well. Let sit overnight, chilled to allow the flavors to merge.
