This is a simple holiday treat.
- 1 1⁄2 cups filberts, chopped
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
- 1 (12 ounce) package Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Spread chopped nuts in a lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan.
- Boil brown sugar and butter for 5 minutes.
- Pour this caramel mixture over nuts and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let cool and cut into squares.
