I found this on the internet somewhere listed as a healthy snack. It sounded strange but I like to try new things and it did look healthy. I LOVED it! I wish I'd heard of it sooner! I don't think it matters what kind of apples you use. You can use part skim cheese and light english muffins if you're watching calories.
- toast english muffins.
- slice apples and place apple on english muffin
- add sliced cheese to the top.
- bake just until cheese melts.
MMMM...LOVE this. I'm recently very fond of everything with apples on it...peanut butter toast, panini with brie and this snack is perfect for after school for the kiddos. Thanks for posting...sometimes the simple stuff is the best, no?
