Easy English Toffee

READY IN: 20mins
Recipe by EmmyLynn

I had an aunt that brought this to a Christmas gathering, and I couldn't get enough of it. She gave me the recipe, and I was surprised to find saltine crackers as the main ingredient! I think toffee is my weakness..

I've never heard of using saltine crackers to make toffee and was a bit skeptical. I couldn't believe how easy this toffee was to make, and SO yummy. I made two batches, my crackers weren't salted so I sprinkled a little on the crackers of the second batch and it really improved the flavor. I also couldn't believe how the chocolate just melted and all I had to do was spread it out with a knife. Although, I have to say it's pretty obvious a saltine cracker is the main ingredient. I will make these again and again! Thanks for the recipe!
