- 2 cups all purpose flour.
- 1 teaspoons salt.
- 2/3 cup shortening, plus 2 tablespoons shortening.
- 4-6 tablespoons water (or cold milk).
- In a medium bowl, mix 2 cups sifted flour and salt. Cut in shortening using a pastry cutter. (or pullig 2 knives through ingredients in opposite directions) until particles are size of peas. Sprinkle in cold water; 1 tablespoons at a time; tossing with a fork until all flour is moistened and pastry leaves sides of bowl. (1-2 teaspoons of cold water can be added as necessary). Fit a 9-inch pie pan roll out using 10-" inch disk.
