- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup borax
- 1⁄2 cup salt
- 1⁄2 cup citric acid
directions
- Carefully mix all together and put in tightly covered mason jar.
- Use 1 Tablespoon per load and use vinegar for the rinse.

Hi mandikaake, I tried this the other day... I found it to be pretty good! Admittedly I did give it a tough first test, with some pretty messy items in there. I could honestly say they came out as clean as I could wish. I also tried adding a few drops of lemon essential oil to the compartment where the detergent goes, and the machine smelled lemony fresh after. I may play around with this and add a tiny drop of Fairy liquid, but whether this will improve it or not I don't know. Thanks for the recipe!
