  • 1 cup washing soda
  • 1 cup borax
  • 12 cup salt
  • 12 cup citric acid

directions

  • Carefully mix all together and put in tightly covered mason jar.
  • Use 1 Tablespoon per load and use vinegar for the rinse.

  1. My glasses came out hazy and I can't get them clear again even when I went back to my Finish. My dishwasher is a new stainless steel so it was definitely the recipe and I went right by the recipe. Trust me, don't do it!
     
  2. Hi mandikaake, I tried this the other day... I found it to be pretty good! Admittedly I did give it a tough first test, with some pretty messy items in there. I could honestly say they came out as clean as I could wish. I also tried adding a few drops of lemon essential oil to the compartment where the detergent goes, and the machine smelled lemony fresh after. I may play around with this and add a tiny drop of Fairy liquid, but whether this will improve it or not I don't know. Thanks for the recipe!
