This is the max comfort food, well, maybe after Mac and Cheese. Serve this on toast or biscuits. I love it on Bisquick biscuits.
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (6 ounce) can tuna
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1⁄2-2 cups milk
- toast or biscuit
- Melt butter in skillet.
- Add tuna with any juices.
- Stir in flour.
- Remove from heat and gradually add milk, a little at a time, mixing till smooth.
- Return to heat and stir till it is bubbly and thickens, adding more milk as needed.
- Serve over crisp toast or biscuits.
Thanks for the easy and tasty recipe. Different option for tuna instead of Tuna Noodle Casserole. I did add a can of creamed corn so that it could be a one dish meal. We liked it that way and I don't think I would mind peas either. One year old enjoyed it too. Yeah!
Really, really good! Thanks for sharing!
5 Stars from the whole family! What a great idea for a quick weeknight meal. My Grandma used to fix us meals like this and they were the best. I also quadrupled the tuna but only doubled the sauce. Delicious as is, but I am thinking of adding peas and pimentos next time. Thanks for sharing. *Made for PAC Spring 2010*
