Cream of Tuna over Toast or Pasta

"A typical "White Trash" meal. One of my favorites. My family has been eating this for years...I have had some trouble getting my husband warmed up to this one though. Very filling and SO easy to make."

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (12 ounce) can tuna
  • 1 dash milk
  • serving pasta or toast (my favorite)

directions

  • In a medium saucepan mix tuna and soup, cook on medium heat until mixture is warm.
  • Add a dash of milk to thin mixture just prior to warming of soup/tuna mixture.
  • You may ladle this over toasted bread, or a serving of cooked pasta.
  • It is great, easy and cheap!

  1. Thanks Becky! I can't believe I found this! I actually just got on the internet tonight to try and find this exact recipe! I ate this growing up too, except my Mom always added frozen mixed vegetables to hers (I picked most of that out when I was a kid). I'm going to go make this right now, but I'm going to add the vegetables this time. :) Thanks so much for posting this, I wasn't sure that I remembered the amounts correctly, but according to you, I did remember. I just can't decide... toast or noodles... hhmmmm....
