  • Cut cabbage into wedges.
  • Cook in light-salted water for 20 minutes.
  • Drain and cool.
  • Fine chop or shred cabbage wedges.
  • Heat saucepan.
  • Put cabbage and heavycream and butter in the pan, bring to simmer until thickened.
  • Season to taste.

  1. This was very good but Oh! so rich. Although I really enjoyed it I wouldn't make it again just because of the scary fat content. Apart from that it made a good side dish to roast gammon and went well on a jacket potato for me!
