Cordon Bleu Style Chicken Strips

  • 1 12 lbs chicken tenders
  • 6 slices deli ham, smoked, cut in half lengthwise
  • 0.5 (13 2/3 ounce) package baby swiss Cheez-It crackers, crushed into coarse crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • pepper

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with no-stick spray, or line with no-stick foil.
  • Place egg & water in a shallow dish, blend with fork until well mixed.
  • Place cracker crumbs in another shallow dish and stir in pepper.
  • Wrap each chicken strip with a half piece of ham, secure with toothpick if needed.
  • 6. Roll in cracker crumbs, then in egg mixture, then again in cracker crumbs.
  • Place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake 15-25 minutes, turning halfway through. Chicken should register 165° on instant read thermometer.
