Coffee Bars

"these look nice cut into diamond shpaes, but bars work well also.."

• Ingredients: 14
• Serves: 24-36

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup Crisco
• 1 large egg
• 1⁄2 cup strong hot coffee
• 1 2⁄3 cups flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1⁄2 cup raisins
• 1⁄4 cup walnuts, chopped

• ICING

• 1 1⁄2 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tablespoons hot coffee
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

1. combine in order.the crisco, sugar, egg, coffee, flour,baking powder, soda, cinnamon, salt, raisins, and walnuts.
2. spread in a greased jelly roll pan --
3. bake at 350* for 15 minutes.
4. cool in pan on wire rack until thoroughly cooled.
5. ICING:.
6. combine all frosting ingredients and spread on cooled bars --
7. let icing set --
8. cut into bars or diamond shapes -- .
