There are a number of coconut chutneys on Recipezaar that look very interesting. I am adding mine to them.
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 2 green chilies
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
- 3 teaspoons peanuts (or peanut butter)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon tamarind pulp
- grind all ingrediants, except mustard seeds, together with a little water to moisten mix.
- In one tablespoon of hot oil in frying pan add mustard seed till they pop. Add to ground mix.
