Chunky Chocolate-Marshmallow Chews

• Yields: 1 8x8 pan
• Serves: 12

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup cocoa
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1⁄2 cup flour
• 1⁄2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup miniature marshmallow
• 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

directions

1. In a saucepan combine over medium heat butter and cocoa, stirring constantly until smooth.
2. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, vanilla, milk,egg and flour until smooth.
3. Spread evenly in a lightly buttered 8-inch square pan.
4. Bake in a 350°F oven for 25 minutes, or until centre feels dry.
5. Remove from oven and while hot sprinkle marshmallows, walnuts and chocolate chips over top.
6. Return to oven for about 3 minutes, until topping melts together.
7. Cut into squares.
