  • 12 cups unseasoned popcorn or 12 cups lightly salted popped popcorn
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cherry gelatin (or other flavoured gelatin)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300F degrees.
  2. Line large shallow roasting pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil, extending foil over edges of pan.
  3. Grease foil with butter.
  4. Remove all unpopped kernels from popped popcorn.
  5. Pour popcorn into prepared pan; keep warm in oven.
  6. In medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and dry gelatin.
  7. Heat and stir over medium heat until mixture is slightly thickened and bubbly, 4-5 minutes.
  8. Pour Eagle Brand mixture over popcorn.
  9. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir gently to coat.
  10. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
  11. Carefully turn out onto large piece of lightly buttered foil; cool.
  12. Break into pieces or clusters.
