This tangy sweet cherry and banana smoothie has a hint of almond is great for on the run breakfast, lunch, snack or dessert!
- 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted and stem removed
- 1 medium banana
- 1⁄2 lemon, juice of
- 1⁄2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
- 6 ice cubes
- 3 drops almond extract
- Place all in a blended and blend till smooth.
This was pretty good. I personally didn't like the cherry peel in the smoothie as I like my smoothies to be completely smooth. But I had some cherries to use up and this was one way I could do that. I didn't use the lemon juice because I didn't want it to be tart.
This is a great smoothie! Just sweet enough. I made this for breakfast this morning and it was healthy and light, I was even able to fit it into my weight watchers points. I gave some to my 2 year old and he loved it too! Thanks I will make this all the time!! :)
