Saw this on Emeriel Laggasse, so simple and elegant, a perfect celebrations drink. We have it on New Years and for our Anniversary
- 2 drops bitters
- 1 fluid ounce Grand Marnier
- 4 fluid ounces champagne
- Put 2 drops of bitters into a champagne glass, then Grand Marnier.
- Fill rest of glass with Champagne.
I did see Emeril make this. I used the Holland House Orange Bitters being Grand Marnier is Orange flavored. And followed my method in the recipe Grand Champagne Grand Champagne for sugar coaating the rim! Elegant yes!
Very delicious. My variation is 1 drop Angostura bitters on a sugar cube in bottom of white wine glass with a slice of orange and a drop of brandy. Fill with chilled champagne.
