An excellent sauce to serve with gravlax or smoked salmon.
- 3⁄4 cup sour cream
- 1⁄4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons red caviar, small size
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon rind, fresh grated
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly grated
- In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Stir gently, chill until ready to serve.
- Just before serving, spoon into serving bowl and garnish with some caviar and slivers of lemon rind.
