Cabbage and Sesame Slaw

"From Real Simple, an accompaniment to grilled meat. Napa cabbage is very pretty, but regular cabbage tastes just fine. A citrusy twist on a summer favorite."

  1. We loved this quick and easy to make slaw. It had a great flavor and nice texture. It was very light and refreshing. The orange juice was a lovely addition. Thanks for sharing a recipe we will enjoy often.

  2. Such a refreshing salad! We loved the citrusy flavor. I used a package of pre-cut angel hair cabbage to save time but other than that, followed the recipe as directed (I did add some salt and pepper at the end). We ate the whole bowl and the kids asked me to make it again.

  3. Made this pretty much as given, though I did cut it in half for the 2 of us. Very much enjoyed the citrus dressing on this easy-to-make salad. Thanks for sharing the recipe. [Made & reviewed in 1-2-3 Hits recipe tag]

  4. What a simple and refreshing salad. I cut the recipe in half and got 3 servings. I used the napa cabbage (it's like a lettuce/cabbage combo). This is so light and has just a touch of tang to it. Very good and would complement any Asian dish. I served it with recipe #384597 and recipe #378332 and leftover rice pilaf. Yum! Thanks for posting. :)

  5. A fresh flavored Asian style salad. I used lightly blanched green cabbage leaves left over from Recipe #276293, freshly squeezed orange juice, regular white vinegar, white sesame seeds, & cream honey. I forgot the salt but I think it doesn't need it. Made for 1~2~3 Hits Tag Game - Winter 2010.
